SMTP Probe "Timeout"

I am very suprised on one else has had this issue.

I cannot get the smtp probe to work. It jus gives me “timeout”.

I have setup SMTP through IIS on two different server and have tested that smtp works perfect on both.

Both are open relay and do not require authentication.

I am having the same issue when testing e-mail notifications…“timeout”.

I have seen similar questions, but no straight answers. Anyone?

I found that by looking in the Windows logs that the AV was blocking the rule. Just need to allow through - job done.! worked for me. Karma Dude!
