Is it already possible to use SNMP for checking status of APC UPS? If so, from which version of Mikrotik?
I tried this too, no result with snmpwalk v1 and v2 ![]()
i did not find anything about it ;-((
but wrote a script that works setting up/down a second ip to get powrfail alarm and also sends emails;-))
Good idea with the IP. Thanks.
Sure, that’s something that always was already possible… The Dude can check/graph/alert anything you can monitor over SNMP (so of course, you need SNMP functionality enabled on your APC UPS).
Yes, but if I have simple APC UPS with serial/ups port that can be monitored using Mikrotik device only, and mikrotik does not support SNMP for UPC, there is not other way possible…
we also built a small box that is monitoring input voltage and batt voltage und speaks with the mikrotik-ups-monitor
it also monitors the temperatur and turns a fan on an d off and sends email in case of overtemperature

The answer of the mikrotik:
“Thank you very much for the request.
Currently such options are not available over SNMP, but we added these
features to our todo list.”
I have USB APC BackUPS… ![]()

Gobi users should change this setting or directory name;
*) ups - support USB UPS on RB4xx as well;
*) snmp - fix BER encoding for some INTEGER based values;
*) snmp - provide proxy stats using SQUID-MIB;
*) snmp - provide ups info using UPS-MIB;
*) snmp - provide external storage information;
