SNMP/DUDE causes CPU % leak

I am seeing this with all of our routers. RB-450G shows it the most.
Current firmware is 5.25
This has been happening for a LONG time. (I show it for at least a year)

I am attaching graphs of CPU usage of a RB-450G. The CPU constantly climbs. I stop the Dude server (The Dude server is a separate computer), the CPU on the RB-450G returns to normal.
When I start the Dude server again, the CPU starts to climb slowly.

What is VERY strange, is I am always monitoring the RB-450G with Cacti VIA SNMP. I DON’T have CPU problems in this case. Only when I am monitoring VIA The Dude.
Something in The Dude or ROS is causing these leaks when combined together.

You can see clearly in the graphs, every time I reset the Dude server, the CPU goes back to normal, then starts climbing again.

By default the dude polls every 5 seconds while cacti polls every 5 minutes.
I once killed a msa with it.

My polling is set for 1 minute intervals. So it’s a little short, but shouldn’t cause what I’m seeing.

Its a known issue with the dude, had the same problem. Try settings > misc > mac mapping refresh interval and set to 24hr

I have resorted to having the Dude service reboot every midnight.

The routers CPU will stack up higher and higher all day, then at midnight they go back to normal. The next day they start stacking again until midnight etc.etc.

Not a very good fix.

Does anyone know what causes this? It only seems to happen when I used the Dude. Any other SNMP software doesn’t seem to cause this?
