This is a small list of new features in v3, use at your own risk. comments welcome!

SNMP set possibilities:

  • set router identity
  • reboot router
  • execute some script

SNMP v3 authorisation and encryption:

SNMP traps:

  • misc trap “/snmp send-trap”
  • interface state change trap
  • snmp restart trap

That’s probably the best one (and most powerful). Is that also available for SNMP gets/reads?

It would be really nice if a script could send a SNMP trap…
