SNMP Issue??

Hi guys, why i get an invalid oid??

MIKROTIK-MIB::mtxrWlRtabRxStrengthCh0.‘l;k.IO.1

it is possible to correct this? Thanks!

It is the defined method in the MIB. I agree with you that it is dumb, but other manufacturers do the same thing unfortunately.
(MIB entries defined by somewhat more knowledgeable people use 6 decimal numbers to encode the MAC address as an index)

There is no way to avoid this?

I need to put correct OID in our network monitoring software and this is not valid.

If i write in AP console “/interface wireless registration print oid” i get this oid:

signal-strength=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.2.1.3.228.141.140.20.29.177.3
tx-signal-strength=.1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.2.1.19.228.141.140.20.29.177.3

if i put this oid, i got an error.

Thanks!

I agree it should look like that, but unfortunately it doesn’t.
I’m not in the position to fix it. When you want to report the issue send a mail to support@mikrotik.com
It would be interesting to know what they reply to that, so please put that (anonymized) in this topic.
