snmpd in Mac uses 100% cpu

I have several Apple Macintosh computers running Tiger 10.4.8. When I run discover from Dude all seems to work well until I click on the device in the map. Then the snmpd on the Mac starts utilizing nearly 100% of the cpu.

The windows computers work fine.

I’m also unable to hove the mouse over the device and have the graphs opo up.

thanks for any suggestions

interesting, we will test

I have noticed this behaviour, intermittently on a number of Debian boxes as well. I’m not sure what triggers it, but it has only happened since we started running The Dude.

Snmpd will be running at 99-100% CPU, and has to be killed -9. Once restarted, it runs fine for a couple days.
