HELP!
My x-86 2.4GHz Intel P4 MikroTik router has suddenly lost its software ID, license key, admin passwords, admin user accounts, and now reports ~23 hours until it expires. It is also reporting a level 0 license.
This unit was upgraded from 3.30 to 4.6 on MAR11, 2010. New license keys were generated at that time and are in my account. It has worked fine until now.
I’ve tried pasting a copy of the license key into winbox, I get ‘failed: Invalid new software ID!’
I’ve tried changing the admin password, it goes back to blank on my next login.
I’ve tried creating new admin accounts. They last until I logout.
I discovered this today when I was suddenly unable to log into the router. after trying several dozen of my old passwords, I tried ‘admin’ with no password and was able to get in.
Each time I connect to the router with winbox, the time to expire resets to 23:55:00
This router has been licensed and in use for a long time. It is my border router and critical to my network.
Any help would be appreciated.
I’ve tried to make a supout.rif file. It says it is making one and that it might take a while… But it never shows up or I just can’t find it.
