edit
ok i am back on 3.30 but cant update tried 4.0 or 4.17
but still have problem “Your account is disabled for netinstall use” how to enable ?
If updating license key does not work (and you need it, because 4.x and newer require license for new 8-charaters software ID), you’ll probably have to contact support for help.
ok now its updating (problem was i dont have enabled in account)
it says (storage) but license upgradable to v3.x lvl4
license key is already up to date
RB532 can go up to some 6.x version (I’m not exactly sure which one). I recently upgraded two RB133s (with same CPU family) and 3.30 allowed upgrade to 4.x (and 4.17 to either 5.x or 6.x, I’m not sure, I stopped at 5.26). But even if yours says only 3.x, as long as you have new key, netinstall should be able to install anything newer.
For netinstall, router must try to boot from network and by default it doesn’t do that.
It might be possible to force it to do it by holding reset button when you power it up, but I’m not sure if it applies the same way to all models.
But you still have running system, so you can also change System->Routerboard->Settings->Boot Device to try-ethernet-once-then-nand. If it still doesn’t work, use only direct ethernet cable between PC and RB, and have only one network interface active (disable others).
And don’t mess with 4.0 rc1 and such, it won’t get you anywhere.
System->Routerboard->Settings->Boot Device to try-ethernet-once-then-nand.
connect directly to pc<>rb532
and setup in netinstall boot server enable ip address of RB
and i get this error
Other version of netinstall is good idea. I’d try 4.17 or 5.26 (and same RouterOS version), that could perhaps work and hopefully also do something with “upgradable to” value. If everything fails, try asking support.
