I am currently reviewing 3G+ usb dongles for my clients in remote locations where my microwave network has not reached.
The idea is to plug these dongles into the RB750UP to feed APs connected to it.
I am looking for usb dongles with 21mbps down and 5mbps up transmission rates with out of the box LTE interface support in ROS. IT will be nice if the dongle has an optional port to attach external antenna to boost signal.
Currently I have the Huawei E353 which is recognized as a serial connection with very low transmission rate when connected to the RB750UP running ros 5.18. Although the modem is rated 21mbps|5mbps. When connected directly to computer it performs better.
