OK. I’ve reset my config to the default on my RB750, by issuing the /system-reset command. When we received these, the default IP address was 192.168.88.1, username was ‘admin’ and password was blank.
Now, I cannot connect to it. What do I do in this now?
Are you connected to ether2-ether5? On reset these localnet interfaces are connected as a switch, and they are assigned 192.168.88.1/24 with dhcp server. The ether1 port is a dhcp client.
ADD: If your computer you are using to connect gets its ip by dhcp, you might want to try renewing your ip address.
Are you using winbox? Connect using the mac address or use a serial cable.
RB750s don’t have serial ports.

Nway- soon as I unplugged the cable from the ‘WAN’ port (port 1), my RB replied immediately on 192.168.88.1. Same advice as SurferTim gave.
Woulda replied to the forum earlier, but I had some DNS issues and a client with a virus-from-hell and I totally forgot about it.
@netrat- Unfortunately, I found out about that utility a bit too late, but still- WHAT A GREAT TOOL!

i have the same problem , and i can’t access the RB750 GL after i reset it , the user name was : admin / password : no password , it didn’t enter from winbox i don’t know what 2 do ? can any one help me plz ?
I just arrived here after my RB750 became inaccessible after I did a factory reset.
It would not respond on any interface and was not issuing IP addresses over DHCP at all.
FWIW - I recovered it by connecting to it using WINBOX via the MAC address. When you open WINBOX go to Neighbours and youll see the MAC address of your RB. Connect and configure from there.
Please I cant login into my Mikrotik RB951 even through Winbox or the web client. What do I do please? i have tried to format the damn thing but it is still nit responding… am i missing something?

I’m reseting the routerboard, but still can’t locate it on winbox, by MAC or IP… Whats happening?
Sometimes I can do it easily, sometimes nothing was found.
Damn! Is it a firmware bug, or something?
