[SOLVED] Certificate Issues with Hotspot HTTPS Login

Hey all,

Im using Mikrotik as a Controller for My Hotspot Authentication using a Certificate bought from Geotrust - Rapidssl.

However im still having issues where clients are getting certificate not trusted errors.

I have in my walled garden for verification both:

rapidssl-aia.geotrust.com
rapidssl-crl.geotrust.com

Would this have anything to do with Mikrotik, am I doing something wrong here?

I don’t know who GeoTrust is. Are they in the root certificate list shipped with browsers or operating systems? If not, you’re going to have to also install the certificate chain to something that is.

Rapidssl will require you to also add rapidssl intermediate certificate to the server

I never tried this with Mikrotik, but in apache I have to use different configuration directives for the intermediate certificate … so let us know if it works.

Tried it, installed the intermediary certificate and its working like a charm now.

Thank you VERY VERY much.

Could you explain how did you installed the intermediate certificate?

Is it installed just like the server-side certificate?

Yup, just import it.
