SOLVED: minipci atheros card not working

Hello forum!
Noob here…
I’m using a routerboard RB411UAHR, and I have bought a used minipci wireless card
That I have connected to routerboard’s minipci port.
The card name is: CM9-GP and it’s an atheros wireless card that previously it was working without problem to another routerboard RB411UA**

My routerOS version is 6.11

The problem is that routerOS is not detecting the new minipci wifi card, but only the onboard.

And this is what I get from console:
[admin@MikroTik] /system> resource pci print

DEVICE VENDOR NAME IRQ

0 00:12.0 Atheros Communications Inc. Atheros AR5001X+ Wirele... 255
1 00:11.0 Atheros Communications Inc. AR5007G Wireless Networ... 50

And drivers:

[admin@MikroTik] /driver> print
Flags: I - invalid, D - dynamic

DRIVER

0 D USB OHCI Controller
1 D USB EHCI Controller
2 D Atheros PCI

The device name is AR5007G Wireless Network. The other one (AR5001x+) is working fine.

I’ve search the web but I can’t find something about this….

I’m guessing it’s something to do with drivers….
What should I do?? Anyone can help?

Thanks!

The mini pci card is not compatibel with routerboard.
This card (the picture is compatibel with routerboard).

it is compatible

hello and thx for your reply

yes, it’s compatible, it was working on another routerboard RB411UAxx
without any problems.

does anyone knows why it’s not working now?

thank you

Maybe not enough power? Did you try to use a more powerful adapter? Which board does it work in?

hello, and thx for reply

I’m using a “original” PSU 24v 800mA

it was working on another RB411UA(xx something)
I thing it was exactly the same

could it be a routerOS version issue? cuz the other one has a very old version. I thing it was 4.x…
it wasn’t 6.x for sure…

hello guys.

I’ve solved my problem…finally!

It was a bad contact issue.
I’ve cleaned the pci contacts with isopropyl alcohol and… It works!@!!!

thx for all your help!
