You may want to add wireguard interface as LAN or foresee a corresponding rule in firewall to allow forward from/to wireguard.
One thing many people forget is to check the local devices firewall settings. If you are able to establish other connections to that device but not ping it likely means that you have the device set to “public” network (in the case of windows this is highly likely) when connecting to that mikrotik network or the device has ping disabled (checking firewall settings on linux). In windows network sharing settings (public vs private) will dictate whether network shares are available and whether it responds to ping.
Ah yes, I rarely use a windows box to test such things because of that reason ![]()
Usually a printer or a Linux-based device (which most of the times is the same thing).
Yes probably this…
On one router do this
/interface list member
add interface=wirepalmas list=LAN
/ip firewall filter
add action=accept chain=forward comment=InternalTraffic in-interface-list=LAN out-interface-list=LAN
move [/ip/firewall/filter find comment~“InternalTraffic”] 2
On the other do this
/interface list member
add interface=wiretelde list=LAN
/ip firewall filter
add action=accept chain=forward comment=InternalTraffic in-interface-list=LAN out-interface-list=LAN
move [/ip/firewall/filter find comment~“InternalTraffic”] 2
I am confused, the first post seems to say absolutely nothing in terms of a query or issue?
Holvoe I think you should remove your self spam!
)
Seriously its as if there were posts above yours that are now gone???
Saw that too when I was searching where the “solved” marker was placed.
And noticed somehow the first post was removed.
I don’t know what happened to my post. Perhaps they withdrew it for having some private detail in the publication? I don’t know but thank you very much for the help.
Maybe the new moderators are randomly making posts disappear?
I’ve already seen this story on Reddit (from 8 months ago), let’s see who they blame this time…
Removed or disapproved? It’s not the same.
