Hello, i live in Old Havana, Cuba. I have a few questions if someone can please help me! I am in Toronto, Canada and only have 5 days until i go back.
Im looking to purchase a MikroTik wireless system, however I need some help in which system.
I was looking at the Disc Lite5, SXT 2, SXT Lite5, LHG 5.
I also believe that i am supposed to buy the International version correct?
Which do you think would be the best for me?
Again i live in Old Havana City, and i have more or less a direct view to Hotel Park Central where there is wifi internet connection. It is about 400-500meters from where I live. Any help would be great. Thanks y muchas gracias
Hey thanks for the quick responses! Yes this is for home use. Not sure if its 5ghz or 2.4ghz. Im trying to “google” and search the forums, but i am not sure. Maybe if anyone has any idea. I know the internet is very slow and basic in Cuba.
Even if i buy the 5ghz, would it downgrade and run on 2.4ghz if there isnt 5ghz? Thank you very much!
I said L4 because some configs used in public Cuban wifi require virtual interfaces to be used if you want to use several wireless credentials (to sum up more bandwidth, or for sharing with more people) with a single antenna, something not doable with L3 devices, and something that you may want to do in the future.
If you’re going to use it only for your home, I’d get a 2.4GHz outdoor integrated radio/antenna (unless there’s 5GHz coverage) to pick the signal, wired to an indoor wireless router to provide connectivity at home. RB951Ui/G, Hap ac, hAP ac lite… all of them are great for the task.
I’ve contacted all the sellers in Toronto area however no one has the international version. Any suggestions where i may be able to get one in a very short amount of time? Thank you
