I don’t want to be rude, but (and this is true for other posts, too):
PLEASE do read the manual and/or installation instructions. There are lots of questions asked here in the forum which are answered clearly in the existing documentation. I know it’s easier to ask here. But most people (non-Mikrotik staff) here are helping out others for good will. It would be wise to take the time to RTFM and then ask questions here in the forum where the existing docs are incomplete, wrong, you don’t understand them, or if you have other questions you can’t answer yourself using the materials provided by MikroTik.
To your question:
Just upload the newer packages using ftp to your router and reboot - voila! This will only work if your license key still permits upgrades (“/system license print” will tell you). “/system package print” shows you all the installed packages - you have to upload all of those. All packages have to have the same version number - so you can’t have system-2.8.17 and wireless 2.8.22 for example.
