Sorting free traffic from hotspot traffic

Hello all,

Just wondering, we’ve been using the hotspot system for while and providing users with free access to sites via the walled-garden however when they’re logged in all usage is counted. We currently use the IP accounting system along with some scripting to allow us to refund this data to the users, but I was wondering if theres another way around this that I can route the free traffic out over a different (or virtual) interface to completely bypass the hotspot for these free sites?

The easiest way I can see to do this would be with a second router sitting between the hotspot router and our users but I’m sure there must be some way to do this on the hotspot router itself.

Any mikrotik reps able to make suggestions regarding this?

still looking for a solution for this if anyone has any ideas.

still looking for a solution to this, Cisco ISG has an option to tag specific traffic meaning it can be sent to a seperate radius server or ignored.

I can’t figure out any way (without something being coded) to allow RouterOS to not count some specific radius traffic.
Anyone else got any suggestions?
