Spectrum analyzer atheros 9223 ! mikrotik

Hi there,

i’ve just installed 4.3, thank you mikrotik for hard word!

In twitter about 2/3 days ago i’ve read about a new software feature of RouterOS, the Spectrum Analyzer.

Also i’ve read that work only with:

Currently this feature is supported only for Atheros Merlin chips. AR9220, AR9280, AR9223.

Now… i’ve put a Atheros AR9223 of Compex in one of my RouterOS routers. And:

PS: Card perfectly run in 802.11n mode with great coverage and performance.

I just tested our R2N wireless card that uses the same chipset, and it works. apparently your chipset is some other modification that is not Merlin. It’s hard to say which ones support this feature, but i’m certain that RouterBOARD R2N and R52N cards work.

But we want support for all Atheros cards. Or all Atheros N cards at least.
It’s already bad enough that RouterOS does not have support of other Wi-Fi chipset except some ancient ones.

Don’t Atheros supply ready made drivers for this?

Because 11n links DO NEED SPECTRUM ANALYSIS !! to be set up.

this is a feature only available in certain new atheros chips. it’s not a software or driver issue.
