SPEED and other trouble with RB532

I have some great problem using a RB532,
Using a RB532 in WDS AP-bridge with not more of 25 users registered, the performance are really poor; the btest report me an average speed of 5 Mb/s (tested between the AP and one
client (RB133C) when i make this test the users are registered but they don’t produce a big traffic).

Speed performance isn’t the only trouble because if i try to ping the IP of the bridge the rate of discharged packets are about 10% and the ping average is 500ms the maximum is over 3500ms.
I have tried to improve the speed turning on the nstreme but when i turn on it the maximum speed fall dawn to 300kb/s with a big instability
Looking the resource nothing appear strange the CPU usage is max 35%…

So the question is why so poor performance with only 25 users? To say everything with only one clients the performance isn’t much better about 9Mb/s but stability is much good.
How many real users i can manage with a RB532? At witch speed?

The Router board is the RB532, radio card is the RB52, WDS bridge mode with many clients RB133C with signal better than -56dbm.

Tanks to everyone can help me to improve this situation

What are you doing for QoS and bandwidth control?

25 clients with 5mb of throughput is respectable for wireless.

I don’t perform any kind of QOS.

5Mb/s respectable? I hope no, because is the worst result than ever, much other in the same conditions report throughput much more better than mine.

I don’t aspect 20Mb/s but 10 is enough for me, looking on the net, and in this forum, isnt a result so far. By the way there are a lot of questions without a clear answer like the enormus lost packet in ping, the bandwidth that slow down to 300kb/s when nstreme is turned on, and what limit the bandwidth if the CPU is under the 50% of average usage?

Tanks for the answerer but im still in the dark

You need to start by implementing QoS.

What RouterOS version are you running on the 532?

Tom

The firmware on RB432 is 2.9.38 on the 133 i have the 2.9.46.

I have tried to make some other tests, disconnecting the 25 users, with only one user i have the same trouble 5.5Mb/s of average speed but unstable.

The test condition are the following:

AP WDS RB532 one user, no polling, no nstreme 2.9.38 radiocard RB52
Station WDS RB133 2.9.46 radiocard RB52

Distance 5km signal -55dbm
Btest speed 5.5 average but very unstable slow down till 200kb/s

At this point i have only two questions:
What is the maximum speed of a WDS link with this hardware?
Can the FM radio (103MHz) with the anetenna close the Mikrotik panel (about 2 meter) and 3kW disturb the link?

I begin to think something about this FM radio

Tanks to everyone waiting some answers

Get rid of WDS.

What is your weakest signal tx and rx?

Best I’ve gotten out of a 133c was 8mbps, someone else posted 13mbps from a 133. 532 is capable of more, but the weak link is the slowest part.

The signal are enough strong the test 133 is at -55/-57 RX/TX from the 532

i have never seen over 5.5 Mb, but very unstable and inconstant.

I had an FM radio station make my 532 with Compex WLM54G unusable. It was mounted about 10’ from the antenna. Moved their antenna up 25’ and problem is gone…

I think that your main problem is FM radios (100-200 Mhz the same of the eth cable …)
