Hello all,
We are going to install a link connection in bridge WDS mode in the 5GHz band using 2 x RB133.
In the test environment (office) with the dishes not far than a couple of meters, we are not able to link the bridges at speed higher than 18Mbps. Manual forcing any higher speed results in no link.
Any suggestion?
Thanks
It is better to test without antennas on the office.
Of course I’we played a little bit with the power to avoid environmental saturation…
anyway tomorrow morning we will do outside test.
I’m playing with bandwidth test also on the internal bus of the 133. I mean running the WinBox bandwidth test on the internal wlan1 and eth1 interface. I never go higher than 45MBps!!! Than, how can I go faster on the wireless link?
Well, regular a/g standard provides with ~30-35Mbps half-duplex in ideal conditions, ~50Mbps for turbo-mode.
How much bandwidth do you get for this link, when you set with bandwidth trough the wireless link ?
Indoor test with 5dBi omni antenna:
17mbps TCP and 40mbps UDP (in turbo)!!!
RB133 (Bridge 2.4 Turbo)------------->RB133c (WDS 2.4 Turbo)
Everything disabled;only bridge; CPU max 70%, 18v/1A power adapter.
The speed is not too low?
