SR9 - Clients Connected, no traffic

I have been experiancing a strange problem which persists for half a day,… sometimes.

900Mhz SR9 @ 2427 - 5Mhz
120deg sector 11dbi

6 Clients on this sector. CPE is 10dbi Sr9 and RB133

Clients show as being connected, but no traffic passes. If I do a quick scan clients reconnect and all is normal. Same issue happens about 15-20 minutes later… then after about 4-6 hours of manually doing this, all goes back to normal. I suspect some intermitant interferance… yet i have cavity filters on the AP and the the noise floor sits at -100 on the AP, and about -103 on the CPE’s.

I can’t switch to any other frequencies. Is there a way to have the AP detect that there is no traffic passing and force it to reassociate the CPE’s. I also run the dude, so this annoying problem creates 100’s of messages during the outages.

OK,

I figured out something. It’s one client unit that has good signal -70/-69 but CCQ is 20 / 54. This particular unit is using an external 15dbi Cushcraft yagi…

It seems to be associating and disassociating alot… and it seems that this causes the AP to stop moving traffic… soon as i disable this unit traffic starts flowing…

Anyone seen this before?? How can I fix?

I have that same problem here. The tower side is within a quarter mile of a cell tower, and when school gets out, lunchtime or 5pm, I get tons of noise and the CCQ drops like a rock. Signal at 5Mhz G was -79, then noise went to about -85, signal about -82, dropped and would not associate until the noise was gone.

In B mode it works, and has only lost association about 3 times in a month and a half, although ping is not as stable as it was in G mode (when it worked), nor is there as much bandwidth.

This is my personal link, quality isn’t as much of an issue as finally getting high speed to my office, so for the time being, it is good enough.
