Hello to everybody,


I Have one firewall mikrotik and one webproxy server freebsd in my network.
And I want to access this webproxy with ssh client of mikrotik, but i can`t access.
In the window appear this mesage:

“Enabling compatibility mode for protocol 2.0
Unable to find an authentication method”

Anyone knows why this happened?
Or
Anyone knows the solution?

make sure that SSH server can be supported by RouterOS

The MikroTik RouterOS supports:

  • SSH 1.3, 1.5, and 2.0 protocol standards
  • telnet session termination with 40 bit RSA SSH encryption is supported
  • preshared DAS key authentication
