I have tried and failed to log into MT model E50UG running current 7.21.3 ROS using SSH and crypto ED25519 / 256 bits. I have used passwords and rsa keys plus the PubkeyAcceptAlgorithms +ssh-rsa clause in ./.ssh/config before without success. The verbose log output points to an authorization / algo problem in the MT host (failure userauth-request 3 times as per client auth.log). There are no hiccups in the client firewall log.
In fact, the only way to access the router has been the MAC address via WinBox and bash scripts. My question now is: should I build from the ground up (Netinstall) or dig in the config included ? SSH is not the heart of a router and that is why I don't really bet on the latter route. Any recommendations? Thanks!
