I’m very bad at Russian, but my guess is you just said you’re a “complete zero” at API, and asked how to send an HTTP request from script.

Assuming my guesswork was right, you can use the “/tool fetch” command to make HTTP requests from scripting.

As for the API thing… if you know any programing language, there’s probably a client for it, which would in turn simplify the learning for you. API uses a different format from scripting, but in the end of the day, it’s the same commands.

I understand your use case, but the point remains you can’t do it directly from MikroTik. You can do it by sending an HTTP request to a server which would do it.

On the HTTP server, instead of using an API client, you could use an SSH client. They are less predictable than the API, but they are at least predictable enough to allow you to use them… to enable the API :laughing: … or to upload files, and allow you to execute an /import on them.

Which SSH client you use, again depends on your programing language of choice.

On the HTTP server, you can use whatever language you want, as long as there’s an SSH/API client for that language to use. There is one for PHP and Perl for cetain, and I believe there’s also for .NET, Ruby, Python and others.

you can add private key for user in RouterOS, so you can use ssh key to log into other router.

/user ssk-keys private

and you can control your other router from this router with the key through scripting.

do not forget to add public key on the other router.

Good day. I have exactly the same issue and tried everything you discussed here. Unfortunately I still see password prompt when try to SSH from one Mikrotik to another one with keys authentication. But SSH with key authentication from Ubuntu to Mikrotik works fine. What can be the reason? :confused:

(tried on RouterOS 5.24 and even fresh 6.0)
