I have two RB 750 GR2. Both at firmware 6.35.4. I have had them for several months without problems (not any that weren’t caused by me anyway). I use SSH with pre-shared key for command line access. Recently they both started behaving as if the pre-shared key didn’t exist, asking me for my password when I try to SSH in. But they won’t accept the password either. So I have no more SSH access.
I am using DSA keys. The id_dsa.pub’s are uploaded and show up under system/user/SSH Keys. I tried all of the off again on again stuff - delete old keys, upload new ones, wipe all the keys out and reboot the router, disable then enable the user. Nothing gets me access. Even with all SSH keys deleted from the system and after a reboot it won’t accept the password. It’s the right password because I can still access the system by Webfig and ftp with it.
I searched the forum but couldn’t find anything on this problem although I’m sure I can’t be the first and have it happen on two different routers.
