Hi all
I am still learning the mikrotiks, we currently use the rb951 model at the moment.
I have been in the company only a few months
We currently have about 150 venues covered with these at the moment in time.
What we are after is a way to discover what SSID’s are broadcasting in the vicinity of ours, I’m sure we done it using the
TORCH tool previously but i cannot remember how.
We can log into the boxes remotely no problem but like i said we want to be able to see other ssids broadcasting in
the area so we can check if they are secure and what channels they are broadcasting on.

Torch is the wrong tool.
Use Scan or Snooper from the w/l interface menu.
Starting a scan or snooping session will disconnect all users from the wireless interface.

also we run capsman on all boxes

AFAIR these features haven’t found their way into capsman yet.
So you’ll need to connect to the AP directly, disable the CAP function and then start the Scan or Snooper session there.

Btw, if you run scan with background box checked, you won’t drop clients but it will slow them down.
Depending on your needs, you could add a dedicated router for monitoring purposes only.
