SSL Cert import to mikrotik

Hi,

I have purchased SSL wild card cert but im unsure of how i can import it for use with mikrotik. I would prefer to have the same cert/key for all my mikrotiks out there however I can generate as many as I need with this cert if need be. I get that I need to create a template and then create a cert request however once I have created it I then paste that ccr to my dig cert provider and they apply the key to my cert and then it is available to download. I then ftp across and import them however i never get “K” beside cert. Any help would be greatly app

AFAIK you don’t need to create any signing request, as it will be your provider the one creating and signing it, I think you may be mixing Self-Signed certificates generation vs purchased certs.

You need to import CA certs from your Cert provider, be sure to import also any intermediate CAs your provider may have, then the key.

Beware some vendors sign with a different CA (RapidSSL/GeoTrust for example). In that case, make sure you import the proper CAs; importing all their trust certificate chain including all roots, won’t harm either if you get CRL issuer certificate from store errors, see http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:System/Certificates
