I’m going to buy a valid ssl certifacte (not generate one) for my routerOS to use on my SSTP and or OpenVPN protocols but I’m not sure if the CA certificate must be imported in the client side too or it’s not need it?
When you buy a commercial certificate, pretty much all you’re paying for is that the CA that issues your cert has their CA cert in all the major browsers. If you have to install the issuer’s CA cert on your client devices to make them work, then there’s no point spending the money, you might as well issue it yourself.
Above mentioned is exactly true. If any certificate provider tells you to install their CA certificate anywhere then don’t buy from them.
Apart from this, let us know how your installation works after you have installed the purchased certificate.
