SSTP: no access to Windows shares

Hi,

I still have a PPTP Server running on Mikrotik for my users. Some weeks ago I added SSTP. So my user can actually log in and can Access everything except Windows Shares, i.e. SMB.

  • PPTP and SSTP users share the same IP pool
  • If I use PPTP with my Computer, I get the IP from that pool assigned, I can ping the Microsoft Server with the shares without any Problems.
  • If I use SSTP instead, I get the IP from the same pool, I can ping the Microsoft Server with the Shares, but I cannot access the Shares, no way. Neither with Explorer nor with net use. It simply doesn´t work. I can access everything else while using SSTP.

So there must be a difference between PPTP and SSTP. Perhaps someone knows the source of this Problem?

Regards,
Chris

I have to use \192.168.100.15\Public to access my NAS through L2TP.

I have this note from this forum from 2009.
“‘Network Neighbourhood’ works only in the range of one broadcast domain. so forget about that. use “\ip-address” instead of “\computer-name” to access shared folders.”
