Hi folks,

I’m a complete newbie to using The Dude (TD).

We want to use it to replace Network View, because it has a zoomable view.

We have a list of around 70 items with static IPs on our 10.121.244.* subnet. All we want to do is check these are alive every minute or so with ping.

The main issue I’m having is that TD is automatically scanning and adding devices which I don’t want listed. How do I turn that off?

Having tinkered for a couple more hours I found that it was easiest to turn off all the discoveries I had accidentally scheduled (under Networks Maps > Local. Then from the toolbar click Settings > and on the General tab). I was then able to add the devices manually.

I struggled a bit with ping, but having tested I seem to have a stable network map now that’s responding well to any offline devices.
