Static dns address can‘t be invoked in Some built-in functions correctly

Yes, RouterOS behavior can be very inconsistent between commands.

/tool e-mail is willing to evaluate the server by name, but only once at time of entry, not at time of each use. /tool watchdog is not willing, at any time.

“Show passwords” checkbox in Winbox shows all passwords but “system auto-upgrade package-source” password still shows up as dots.

Most of these inconsistencies have been this way for years, despite bug reports filed.

But in any event, this is not the place to file bug reports. MikroTik personnel may never even see your comment here. Send it to support@mikrotik.com instead.
