hi
i have a domain… i configure NS in TLD database … web is funtional
mail work to send email but i can receive emails only from Hotmail.com !!! from yahoo aol gmail and other i get delivery failure notice

i place in static dns the following lines:
ns.domain.tld
www.domain.tld
domain.tld
mail.domain.tld
webmaster@domain.tld
office@domain.tld
mx.domain.tld

all records go to one IP
nslookup -type=mx domain.tld did not work for my domain

what i have to do to make other emailservers to send me emails???

add ‘MX’ entry to your DNS, like

                        NS ns1.domain.tld.
                        NS ns2.domain.tld.

                        A 123.123.123.123
www A 123.123.123.123
your-mail-server A 123.123.123.321
                        MX 1 your-mail-server.domain.tld.

how can i add a MX line in mikrotik ???

are you trying to use RouterOS as main DNS for your zone?.. it’s just cache, you should use full-functional DNS server (like BIND). usually, your domain name registrator may lease his nameserver for you

maybe you can post here your domain name, so that we can check your current settings?..

firmeneon.ro

i try to uso router os as dns … in static … the aplication is for a small office, they use a routerbord 433 and a PIII for web and mail server … i do not like to use same computer as DNServer becuse they are to far from me ( 480 Km )

just sent a letter to ‘admin’ mailbox - please check, GMail didn’t tell that the message is undelivered…

at 21:51 gmt no new email … belive me … only from hotmail work … looks like they try to send using NS when MX fail to provide the IP… i think …

so … any iddea how to create a MX line in router OS 3.10

i upload a screen shot with all i think you need to make a clear ideea about aplication
