I have:
WTmain
- Runs HOTSPOT and DHCP server
WT900
-acts as a repeater of WTmain via WDS (same bridge) @ 2.4ghz
- Uses an SR9 to link to PP900, via a WDS interface added to the same bridge as above @900mhz
PP900-
Just connects to WT900 @ 900mhz and has a 2.4gig radio / antenna to serve clients there.
This all RUNs GREAT! My question is: at the 900mhz link (just a WDS p2p)
should i be running AP-bridge and Client and NO WDS?
also should i have a DHCP fowardered on PP900 back to WTMain?
From what i understand, Hotspot watches at Layer2 so could this be an issue as AP-bridge and Client will not pass Layer2?
Since i have this setup listed above deployed at several locations, my main question here is to get some clear differences between doing a p2p with WDS vs (AP-BR and Client), aside from the obvious repeating ability with one radio of WDS.
tks
