Station pseudobridge and XR9s

OK - 3.4 is on our systems - very cleanup grade!
Seems more stable then 3.3 although 3.3 wasn’t bad by any means.

The environment seems different though - and I’m having trouble getting my head around it.
Station pseudobridge is awesome!!!
If I have a problem - I can use it to backdoor the ap and repair config. (be careful - it’ll loop on you)
I also found that with 3.3-4 - I was having a lot of problems with wds connections overloading APs with 10 or more clients and/or other brands of wds bridging.
So instead of wds slave - I switched to pseudobriging and it works great!!!
Major reduction in loading!
My question(s):

  • Are wds slave bridging and/or station wds outdated?
Are there better ways to setup 900/2.4/4.9/5.8 omni antenna multi-bridge environs then AP-Bridge to wds-slave or station-wds or AP-Bridge?
If so - What are the protocols and configs?
Where can I find a clear definitive description of station-pseudobridge(and derivatives) and it’s uses and potential configs?

BTW - I’m having exceptional success with the XR9 series with 3.4!!
Congratz to MT coding teams!!!
And another shout out to Mike Ford at UB - thanks for the SR9 → XR9 upgrades!!!
Product is great!

Thank you all for the most informative forum of any product line!!!

I need to bump this 'cause I’m having a problem with station pseudobridge - I use Powercode as my management system and I need to pass MACs accross the network for security and IP assignment.
If my static arp is on - no MACs pass and that means no access.
I turn it off and no problem with access - but MAC to IP verification is not funtional also DHCP doesn’t work.
Any ideas?
Will bridge pseudostation clone solve this problem?
If not - what is the solution?
Thank you,
Rod
