Well, you may read about the active users here,
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/User_Manager/Active_users
Is there a reason that sessions/users don’t terminate and close on their own after their usage time has expired?
We seem to have a problem with always hitting the usermanager session limit even though there are only a couple of users with time. 3.0rc3.
Also, can you please add the date to display as a column in the status of usermanager, that would be very helpful to know when users signed up.
From User Manager - Active Sessions:
When a session is started it’s state is active. It can become inactive in one of the following ways:
User Manager receives accounting-stop message;
[…]If the router hasn’t sent accounting-stop message the session may remain active even if it’s closed already long time ago. Such sessions can be closed manually.
The unique hotspot that can check users to it is down (totally dissasembled) and the computer which initiated that session is sleeping in his bag. And my session is still logged in 23h later, but the uptime is correct: 20m.
I’m using rOS (with UM) 2.9.42 x86, and hotspot was using 2.9.38.
Could anyone explain how Hotspot/PPP can send an accounting-stop to UM when an user is discconected (for example, a MAC-login one)?
