I was confronted with this error in GNS3 2.2.2 + VMWare Wx Pro (15.5) when trying to renew the licence of my CHR instances
It seems to be linked to the Network Adapter “mapping mode”
When in NAT mode I get the error. However if I set it to Bridged mode the licence renewal functions fine
