Hi
I feel quite silly, but I have an issue that, for the life of me, I cannot fix.
I have configured for my brother a small and simple setup with a hAP AX3 and a wAP AX. Wifi is managed by CAPsMAN and all is working as expected, except Spotify streaming.
He has a WiiM steaming appliance connected via cable to the second port of wAP AX. The wAP AX in turn is connected via cable to hAP AX3.
If the phone is connected to the hAP AX3 radios he can connect Spotify to the WiiM appliance. If, on the other hand the phone is connected to the wAP AX radios, he cannot connect Spotify to WiiM. I have tested this myself on my phone too and indeed it's correct.
A few other notes:
- No VLANs
- IGMP snooping is disabled on the bridges (hAP AX3 and wAP AX)
- Multicast enhance is not configured
- Client isolation is not configured
- Traffic is processed on the CAP
If i disable the WiFi interfaces on the wAP AX all works fine. If I disable the WiFi interfaces on the hAP AX3 then we can no longer connect Spotify to WiiM.
So, since connection works in some cases the issue is not with the WiiM nor with the phone, but with the Mikrotik config, some traffic which is not allowed between them or an issue with the wAP AX.
Other devices on the network work just fine (wifi printer, various appliances connected via wifi can be accessed without issues).
Any ideas? Additional info i can provide?
Many thanks!
