i want the main steps to make the hotspot work.
i setup microtik with 2 interfaces and put the ips , dns and gateway then i use setup in hotspot so when i ping the ip of microtik i get message… destination unreachtable.
it is ok until now.
when i try to open any webpage i did not get the logon page

Make sure you have added masquerade rule to the ‘ip firewall nat’.
Are you able to access the Internet, when HotSpot is disabled ?
I am sure the nat masquard working probably i can use the microtik to access the internet but when i try to use hotspot the redirect does not work.

As long as you can connect to the AP and get on the internet, the next step is just to use the hotspot setup in the MT. Just run though the setup and its done, very simple. Then you should be able to just get the login page.
these are the steps I use to setup a hotspot

hotspot interface: hotspot
local address of network: 10.20.7.1/24
masquerade network: yes
address pool of network: 10.20.7.10-10.20.7.200
select certificate: none
ip address of smtp server: 0.0.0.0
dns servers: 12.127.16.68,66.73.20.40
dns name:
name of local hotspot user: me
password for the user: test
[admin@RB test main] ip hotspot>

If you are starting from the beginning, insure you have both DHCP and DNS working before using the hotspot setup. Without an IP or DNS, that is the correct message: “destination unreachable”.
Insure you set “allow-remote-requests=yes” in DNS.
