I try to implement some redundancy for my branch offices that are connecting to the HQ as OpenVPN clients.
Supporting multiple uplinks on the side of the branch offices isn’t hard, there are lots of manuals how to do multi-WAN failover setups.
However I couldn’t come up with a good way of supporting the two internet uplinks at the HQ. Since the OpenVPN-client implementation on RouterOS does not support multiple “connect-to” addresses there seems to be no easy way to do a failover if the primary internet uplink at HQ fails.
Any ideas on how to implement that without a lot of scripting?
