Stop endless logging when DSL link down

Is it possible to stop this… fills the log with useless information.

Of course. You go to System->Logging and in the entry for topic “info” you add “! pppoe” (pppoe with ! in the square before it)

Thanks for the reply. That would stop all pppoe logging. But i only want to stop the endless 10 second retries when the link is down.
Like after 5 failed connection attempts stop the logging but then resume when the interface finally connects.
And also i have multiple pppoe interfaces so it needs to be specific to the interface.

No. But it does not stop all logging, it stops only “info” logging, not errors, warnings etc.
What you specify is not possible, the logging filter mechanism cannot match on message content.
