I understand that if an AP is set in any given frequency, it transmits in it, but hears all frequencies (all the other channels)as well. So performance on AP could be improved by installing a notch filter to the radio, so it hears to the intended frequency, and nothing more.
a) Is this assumption right?
b) Do I get the same effect by setting the Country to a more limited one?
For example, if I set a wlan to Norway p-p, does the radio cease to hear anything from below 5740?
c) Can this be achieved by setting the scan list? (at the AP side)
That is, if I set only one frequency at scan list, does radio stop hearing all other frequencies?
d) Where do I see the effect of changing this setting?
I mean, suppose I do the proper changes, where do I see if it improves anything? (My guess is comparing CCQ before and after)
If these are too many questions, and answer just on (a) will do!
