Stoping downloading by mikrotik router

Hi dears

I have a Mikrotik router RB951ui-2hnd and i want stop downloading of files. I try many solutions in internet but they doesn’t work.

I want this solution for my job. pleas help me.

Power off the ruterboard, and you stop download anything.

Port disabling is much less drastic and could be done remotely.

Hi Youlab, it’s impossible to stop the download of all files, you must select which file types you want to block. Maybe you mean P2P?

You can block URL with l7 filter, eg, blocking all URL with .exe or .zip

Better to block all connections which has connection-bytes more then 5-10MB.
