ok,
I have had some strange things happening and trying to figure out where the problem lies.
We are running our Dude on a virtual server in our office and we run a WISP OSPF network.
The problem I have had the past few months is the ping service turns red on a few routers but I can still get into the device via winbox.
If I reboot the router 98% of the time the ping service returns to green and all is normal. But sometimes a few minutes later it goes back to red and sometimes it stays normal for weeks.
Now I have gone to the Dude server and this service is down and run a tracert to the router showing down and it fails to route to it.
I have 1 router between the Dude server and the router I am trying to reach. If I go to that router I can ping and tracert the Dude server and the router the Dude server can not reach.
It seems to me we are having routing issues with OSPF for some reason not allowing the Dude to ping the router in question.
Route setup to router not pinging:
TheDude Server x.x.115.2/30—fiber---->Tower1 Router x.x.115.1/30------->Tower1 Router x.x.119.21/30------BHLink------>Tower 2 Router x.x.119.22/30
The BH link has a private /29 ip address. OSPF implemented for routing.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
