Strange behavior under interference

Hello folks.

Two of my 2.4 GHz POPs are under heavy interference, so, I did a Freq. Usage to try to select the best channel. In one of them, I’ve found a channel with -97 dBm noise level, but some 802.11 usage. So, as recommended by another member, I choosed this channel, because the others were under heavy interference. After choosing this channel, things got bad. Big latency and poor throuthput. I’ve tried changind channels and, for my surprise, when I choosed a very noisy channel (but almost no 802.11 usage), things got great! Very low latency and great throughput.

Then, I tried the same in another POP. I choosed a -76 dBm noisy channel with almost no 802.11 usage. Pings and throughput are now running good. Tx CCQ is above 90 % most of the time.

So, the best choice is less 802.11 usage?

PS: I’m using R52H in the first POP and EMP-8602 in the second.
