I’m trying to establish ipv6 peering with my isp. Earlier today the supplied the link address we should use to connect our routers.
I got 2001:8c0:XXX:1::2/64 and they should use 2001:8c0:XXX:1::1/64 when the addresses where added I could not ping the 2001:8c0:XXX:1::1/64 and I tried the other way around and used 2001:8c0:XXX:1::1/64 and tried to ping 2001:8c0:XXX:1::2/64 suddenly I could ping both addresses, and when I tested to disable my ipv6 address it was still possible to ping.
ok, could be that the provider actually have done it correct and used 2001:8c0:XXX:1::1/64 them self.
Tried to ping 2001:8c0:XXX:1::3/64 without resolute, added the 2001:8c0:XXX:1::3/64 and could ping it, then disable it and I can still ping it.
No I can ping 3 addresses and I have no ipv6 addresses enabled other than the link local. None of the wants to talk ipv6 peering, but that could be that the provider haven’t adjusted some access. Still the ping should stop working when I disable the address..?
Any suggesion? Running ROS 5.22 otherwise steady for 2 days..
