Strange LINK problem with TX signal

Hi,

as you can see in the picture (2 registration lines of the same AP) I have one perfect link and one link with problems.

Site1 is a truck bascule. Site 2 is a 10 meter ilumination tower and site 3 is a remote office. All with LOS view.
In site2 I have 2xXR5 with 23dBi to site3 and 14 dBi to site 1.
In site1 I have a 14dBi with R52, and a XR5 with 23 in site3.

My TX signal between site 2 to site1 is poor. No changes in the tower, no changes in the bascule. Is a rural area without interference and the links were working fine for 5 months at 55-65 of signal.

Now the signal drops and I don’t know why. We tryed to low power of XR5 with no success. Change of channels don’t help neither.
It’s possible that the XR5 has a problem? only for TX? : /
The costumer don’t have access to this APs, for that reason there is no change of configuration.

Thanks,

Looks like that TX of Site2 is broken (maybe the XR5 power amplifier?). The RX is not related on power output of the card that’s why it’s still good.
It’s not reasonable that RX of site 1 is broken, so i’d go directly to site2 and change the radio (the antenna looks fine)

Renato! This is italian style! ; )

I don’t ever seen a “broken” card that has a good receiving signal but bad tx.. are you sure this is possible if the card is “broken”?

It’s about 550 km away and in the worst tower ever seen.. I think is made by gillette because each time I climb there I get a nice cut, xD

Ciao Martin

I’m not an hardware specialist, but i’m talking from my experience.
I had radios that were receiving good but transmitting very bad, all of them were radios with amplifiers..
You might try to change frequency to see if the problem is software.. otherwise take with you a good aftershave cream..

Oks, thanks!
