Web pages are opening ok, youtube is running for some seconds and then halt, downloading of files stops after some seconds
We are running standard mikrotik hotspot setup and noticed strange issue only with mikrotik cpe using standard masquerade.
Other routers are working normally.
What is causing such problem ?
How does the cpe get through the hotspot? Is a client behind the cpe logging in? Or bypassed?
Hotspot is running on RB600, clients (rb411) are logging in by mac authentication. Soft is both v3.30. We noticed this issue in other places also, behind mikrotik cpe nat.
Check “/ip hotspot host”. Insure the clients are showing different mac addresses.
Is there anything in the log about the logouts?
If you want better logging on the hotspot service
/system logging
add topics=hotspot action=memory
ADD: If there are two ips in “/ip hotspot host” with the same mac address (dhcp server/hotspot issuing ips to clients), then a new client requesting an ip address will disconnect one of the other users. If that is the case, you can change the number of ips issued to one mac address.
