Hi everyone.
Strange problem or maybe simple but …
I try to explain…
We have a Mikrotik routerboard 532 with three CM9 cards. The Mikrtoik is working fine, clients connected to it…
In the Mikrotik the POE eth0 interface have a public IP (in this case for example 100.100.5.5/30). It is connected to a Dlink POE switch PORT 10 (1-9 POE 10-16 NOT POE) with a Mikrotik 48V POE. There is Router (linux) attached to this Dlink switch to and it is for the gateway for the Mikrotik.
Mikrotik IP config:
IP:100.100.5.5/30
default GW: 100.100.5.6
Everything fine but!!! If I ping this IP from the Internet there is 2 % packet loss OK its not that much but, sometimes there is 50 ping ok after 4 ping went off after 60 ping ok 4 ping went off etc… Nothing is change before this strange ping appears.
I try the Mikrotik ETH0 POE port with my laptop (only my laptop) and another switch (not the Dlink POE switch). Ping the MT eth0 port for half a day and there was no loss…Ok the cable the ETH port is ok. But when I’m attached my simple switch to the Dlink SW the strange ping appears again.
Ok let’s say the Port of the Dlink or the Dlink SW is the bad. BUT there is a PC with a linux on this Dlink switch to and if I ping this PC from the internet, there is no packet loss. But when I’m ping The mikrotik from the PC there is strange ping…30 ping ok 3-5 ping bad..40 ping ok 4 ping bad…
Try to attach the Mikrotik to the PC’s switch port but the same strange ping…
Maybe the switch and the MT routerboard or the MT poe? I replace the routerrboard but problem is not went off…try change poe…
Try the Dlink POE but it’s not compatible with MT POE. Maybe the router OS? or what???
Anybody ???
