Strict NAT type problem

Hello,
I have bought Mikrotik RBSXTR&R11e-LTE6 because I have LTE connection for whole house. Before I had TP-Link MR200 as modem and had NAT Type: Moderate without any effort thanks to UPnP I think. But after I switched to RBSXTR I only have NAT Type: Strict. I had tried everything regarding NAT and port forwarding here on forum. Right now I have enabled LTE passthrough which is working. My main Asus router gets the adress which is private(10.184.224.xxx) so I assume I have Double NAT. But can anyone answer me why I had moderate NAT with TP-Link with same SIM card ?
I cannot go back to TP-Link because it had terrible signal and speed.

My setup is: RBSXTR LTE Passthrough on Ether1 → Asus RT-N18u

Hello.

I have similar problem ¬ Strict double NAT on xbox playstation makes the kids unhappy ! Some advice around settings for NAT on mikrotik LTE could be helpful here.
Many people use mikrotik LTE/4G units then other routers for wifi in the house and this creates double NAT issue. Advice here would be great for people like me who are just learning.

I am using RBL LHG lte and also SXT LTE6 amongst other things. They feed hap AC lite 2.4/5ghz device.

Thank you

I have even tried plugging Ether1 directly into laptop. Rebooted RouterBoard so laptop gets passthrough IP, but that did not help. NAT is still strict.

Enable UPnP on the Tik.

I have enabled NAT and UPnP on Tik and still Strict NAT. I though that in Passthrough mode it does 1:1 NAT and UPnP is not doing anything ? On ASUS i have as well enabled UPnP and NAT

Check what IP you getting on the LTE, if it is a private (10.x.x.x/8, 172.16.x.x/12, 192.168.x.x/16) or CGNAT (100.64.x.x/10) address range, you will not be able to improve gaming NAT status unless you request a direct public IP from your LTE service provider

It is passing 10.x.x.x IP adress which is private. But before Mikrotik I had setup as follows: TP-LINK MR200 with OpenWrt firmware, which has modem in its DMZ and was configured as router and that was connected into Asus RT N18u WAN port configured as router as well. And with setup like that i had NAT type: Moderate. SIM card and ISP have not changed. I just swapped SIM card from TPlink in Tik and disconnected MR200.

If you are getting a 10.x.x..x range on the LTE interface, then opening of any ports is not going to help as the packet will never reach your device when originated from outside.

Compare the APN configuration between the old and new routers, maybe you had an “unrestricted” vs “restricted” on the new MT router.

ISP could also have made changes within their network without notifying the subscribers… Maybe before they issued public IPv4 addresses, but now Private / CGNAT addresses, etc

No I think this is purely problem of Mikrotik. I had same APN on TPLink and when I create hotspot from my phone(CGNAT see picture) I have moderate NAT. Tomorrow I will climb on roof and take SIM card back to TPLink and see if I get moderate APN

Sorry to everyone I have figured out that it is problem of ISP. I climbed on roof, took sim(O2 CZ} out of Mikrotik and put it in TP link and got same strict NAT. Then I put in Tik another T-Mobile SIM card, obtained CGNAT IP and got moderate NAT even without IP Passthrough. So I will try to ask about that my ISP and change to another if it is not gonna work.
Thanks everyone for your time
