Do you have fasttrack enabled in firewall? It should be enabled by default.
Which routerOS do you use?

My last configuration cut off access to the router under the modem.
I'm trying to find a way to telnet the router via Mac telnet, but it doesn't work.
Strangely, the ARP on the Mac modem is detected and shows DC status, but it doesn't replay.
Once you enabled switch1-cpu you activated VLAN filtering..
If you are lucky you can access your router via ports which have vlan-mode=disabled..
Else only reset to defaults… and start over..
