STX 5HnD Issues Still

I would love any assistance anyone can offer on the correct setting up of the MikroTik STX 5HnD. I have followed many of the HowTo’s on the setting up of the devices and cant get them working correctly.

I have managed to get the two devices talking to each other to the point that with a laptop plugged into one I can ping the other and vise versa but when the master is plugged into the network I cant see it nor ping it.

Network;

192.168.1.1 192.168.1.2 192.168.1.3 192.168.1.4 192.168.1.30 192.168.1.31
3G Router - dhcp -----> Cisco managed switch -----> Cisco managed switch -----> Cisco managed switch -----> STX 5HnD…||…STX 5HnD

Even if i plug the STX 5HnD into the last switch along with my laptop the STX is not seen on the network, I must be missing something and would be grateful for any suggestions you could offer.

Thank You…

Make sure the wireless protocol is NV2 or Nstreme

You can set them up easily with Quickset. Just open the IP address in your browser, and Quickset will open. Select CPE mode, and appropriate security settings and addresses. It’s very simple. Try and let us know.
